Default FF8: PSX or PC?

Well I used to intensively dislike this game, but I'm going to give it another shot. My question is this, does the game looks better running on ePSXe, or would the PC version be better?

Also, are there any knowned problem with either version?

Thanks.

Well, if you're gonna use the computer either way, i say go with the PC version. Should run better than under ePSXe.

PC version's graphics are more clean and crisp.

Thanks...one thing in favor of the PSx version, though, is that it doesnt take nearly as much space. About 650-700mb per CD, one CD at a time....versus around 2gb+ for the PC. I keep running out of space. Oh well, I'll just use the one I can get first.

But assuming he has a decent enough computer, wouldn't the PSX version look better with the right video settings?

No, because compared to a real playstation, the PCs graphics are better, so the best ePSXe graphics settings won't look as good as the PC version.

i recall hearing that text looked a litte odd on the PC version of the game, but i could be wrong.

personally speaking, i think the game would be more fun to play on a real playstation in front of a TV

I think it's also from a music standpoint. If I recall, FF8 PC uses MIDI (I used to own it, but I hated FF8 so I gave it away years ago) while the PS game uses Redbook Audio, right?

FF8 PC used MIDI, and I believe that FF8-PSX used the standard PlayStation audio, as the MiniPSF files are availble for download. If you can find the MIDI for the PC version, you can compare them.
