Default KSS music files, where?

I've had a hell of a time locating KSS game music archives on the web. I'm looking for something like here on Zophar, with a list of a few hundred games and links that download the file directly (or even an archive of a bunch of KSS music). I just want to be able to download them easily and have a directory of them to listen to. The best I've found so far is the confusing KSS Kingdom and MSX Resource Center with its rediculous download scheme. Is this game music format just not as developed as ones like NSF and GBS with their hundreds of rips available?

I've been looking for 'em as well. They're a pain in the ass to find, like HES files (Though I've found a lot of 'em). There's no large archive of 'em yet, but perhaps someone should start one. Care to volunteer?

BTW, are KSS files ripped or logged?

Knurek sent me an archive of KSS files he's collected, though I haven't yet been able to download it. Here are a few small collections I've found:

KSS:
http://www.city-hunter.org/kss-x/
http://www.geocities.com/q_321/

NSF/KSS/HES:
http://manbowj.hp.infoseek.co.jp/

HES:
http://acmlm.cjb.net:2/music/hes/
http://2z.dy.fi/hes/

KSS is most like GBS, with a simple header followed by ripped player code/data that is run using a Z80 processor and several sound chips (AY-3-8910, Konami SCC, and some FM chips I haven't bothered with).

Sooo.... you thinking about adding KSS support to the bandlimited synthesis library?

KSS along with AY, HES, and SAP are mostly implemented and being polished for a release, along with adjustable song tempo for every music format.

Neat, but there's a couple of glitches from foo_gep that need to be resolved. Namely with Marchen Maze (plays really fast and scrambled) and Dracula X (freezes when opened).

foo_gep uses Kode54's own implementation; mine is from scratch (but oddly also plays Maerchen Maze really fast as you describe, perhaps it's a bad rip?).

It works fine in other players, except for AO and foo_gep. Also, try Dracula X and see if it crashes.

Dracula X runs fine. I looked into Maerchen Maze and found it was incorrectly failing to acknowledge the VDP interrupt, causing it to run super-fast. Here's a fixed rip (I haven't tried it in foo_gep, just my player): Maerchen_Maze_fixed.hes.zip
