Default Wii System Update 3.0

Figured I would post this here, since the changelog is interesting....plus I have a modded Wii, and it still works fine. Must be that scary warning is standard now. >_> Great update though, to be sure. Flipping between channels and such is definitely faster now. I think my system startup time is quicker too (it was slowing down because of all my VC games, it seemed like, now it's speedy again). Has anyone else noticed their startup time being faster, or is it just my imagination?

System Updates
- Digital Clock added to the Wii Menu right under the channel bar
- Forecast Channel now displays the current condition directly in the Wii Menu in the Forecast Channel box
- News Channel can now show 2 scrolling headlines at a time in the Wii Menu, 3 when you click on the button
- Message Board now has the "Today's Accomplishments
" message as a white message which allows it to stand out from other messages
- Address Book entries can now be shifted around using A+B but only to empty spaces.
- Calendar in Message Board no longer shows "Today's Accomplishment"
- Scrolling messages in the Message Board now uses a different sound
-Fan is on when system is on standby in WiiConnect24 mode (I've heard this on the 'net, that's good since some people were reporting a lot of heat from their Wii, though I had no issues)

Wii Shop Channel
- New Welcome screen detailing 4 Recommended Titles and the points they cost. The title bar can be clicked on to bring up a list of 20 recommended games.
- Titles You've Downloaded was moved to the main shop menu
- New ways to browse
- Popular Titles
- Newest Additions remains the same
- Search for a title which can use partial names
- Search by Category
- Search by Publisher
- Search by Genre
- System shows the different systems and how many titles have been released under each

That's what that was. That's interesting that the system updates by itself? My brother's Wii was off but the drive light thing was glowing blue.

it doesn't really update itself... the drive bay glows blue with you have a new message. system update announcements or notices of new channels launching count as messages.

Wow, someone http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=178244here says that USB keyboards are working in the Wii Message Board....I'm sure Opera will support them soon too.
