Default Looking for a Sega Genesis Zelda-like game

I seem to recall this game my brother had for his Sega that was an RPG similar to Zelda. The sprites were tall and skinny and I seem to remember orange blobs being an enemy. Enemies would attack you in groups. The view was overhead too, not at an angle like Breath of Fire 3 was.

The game is not Crusader of Centy.

Any thoughts?

Sword of Vermillion had battles like which you describe but the overworld was in 3D. It is my favorite Genesis RPG by far. There's also Beyond Oasis which is Zelda-like, haven't played it personally but I've heard its good.

Ohh...I think you might be right about it being Beyond Oasis.

Yes, that's the game. I remember how you get pulled into battles and it's Zelda-like. I seem to remember there being a girl with yellowish orangish hair you can control, but I only saw the game one time and that was like... 15 years ago.

I may fiddle with it again sometime. I got NES carts to play.

Agreed. I always wanted to try the sequel they put out for the Saturn but I could never find a copy. Yet another all but forgotten Sega classic.

Check out Golvellius for the Sega Master System. Very similar to Zelda. You could even call it a clone. Also, it's got the best music I've ever heard in a Sega game, ever, hands down. Amazing melodies and arrangements.
