Default Notso Fatso help

Hey guys,

I was fooling around with the Notso Fatso plug-in for Winamp and now realized that there is no default button to reset everything. I can't get anything to play back properly. Can anybody please tell me what each tab setting should be in the plug-in (the channels enabled, inverted, and the numbers)? I really would appreciate any help.

Thanks!

First, close Winamp. Look in the Winamp plugins directory (usually c:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins). Open up the plugins.ini file. Somewhere in the file, you should see the text [NotSo Fatso]. All of the settings listed after, but before the next [Some Plugin Name] are related to NotSo Fatso. Delete all of those settings lines and the [NotSo Fatso] line, save and close it, and then restart Winamp. This should force NotSo Fatso to revert to the default settings.

This thread belongs in the "Tech Talk" forum, FYI. I'm not bitching at you, but just for in the future.

And by the way, to answer your question from the other thread...

The good thing about NotSoFatso is how customizable it is. You can have it pop up a play control, but you don't have to and can turn that off. All of that stuff is under the "Config 2" tab in the settings. You can choose what sort of NSFs you want to bring up the control (if any). If you disable the play control and click the "Winamp Sublcass" box you can just change tracks with Winamp's controls.

Also, alternatively, if you right click on an NSF that's playing, you can tell it to load up NSF shadows, which are individual entries, one for each track. They are great for play lists and such.

Unfortunately, NoSoFatso isn't very accurate in its waveform production. I've listened to the music I did for a hack on a real NES, and Festalon sounds far more like the real thing.

Cool

The UFMix version of it sounds a lot better to me. Unfortunately all the links to it are gone. However, I did save it before the links died. And if someone could fix the issue where it won't play anything if the playlist goes past a certain number of nsfs, that would be swell.

Ah, I forgot about this (it's the version I use actually). Wasn't aware all links to it are gone though.

Sorry about that, I moved to a new server and UF didn't move a lot of his stuff. Old site is still here.

Why does the UFMix version of the plugin do this?
Or more importantly, how do I make it not pop up that console window?
If I close that text console, it closes Winamp as well.
