Legend of Zelda Omega hack
Hey.
I've been playing the excellent Omega hack for Link to the Past. I was wondering if anyone knew of a walkthru or if they could post some help.
I'm stuck in the dungeon which is in the village; in the room that has the big key door. There is the Master key chest in the room to the left. I can't seem to go any further, or return for that matter. Any assistance would be gretly appreciated.
I asked in this forum because all the other game forums didn't have anyone who was aware of hacks, or so it seems.
Cheers.

Re: Legend of Zelda Omega hack
i see this is one year old but anyway,
i've experienced pretty much the same, btw beats my why nobody knows dis hack, it's quite enjoyable.
i've completed the second dungeon but now what?
about your problem, i remember you had to blow away the floor once. another thing was that picking up the first key gave me a zero key and the second one turned out my first so i eventually wound up infront of a locked door. but picking up no key and just opening the bloody door went well.
hope i didn't bother anyone with this

re: LoZ Omega Hack
After a bit of searching, I turned up a copy of the IPS at
http://math.arc-nova.org/IPS_Zelda3-_Omega.zip
(thanks go to mathonnapkins at the Gamespot Forums for the link). Keep in mind you'll need a program like SNES-TOOL to apply the patch and, of course, a copy of the original Link To The Past rom.
As for a walkthrough, sorry, no such luck. Perhaps someone else who has played this alteration could post their solution? If you're really stuck, try using the Pro Action Replay code: 7EF36F09. This should supply you with infinite small keys, which could help you get past whatever difficulties your experiencing.

If you're running ZSNES, it's actually easier than that. Just make sure the IPS and the ROM are in the same directory, with the same name, and ZSNES will auto-patch when you load the game.

Thanks for the link. I'm gonna have to try that. I love Zelda games and I was really pleased with the Parallel Worlds hack so I'll give this a try too.
As for the patching, I'm using IPS XP. Very easy to use, probably because of the GUI: http://www.zophar.net/utilities/patchutil/ips-xp.html

So yeah, I got the patch, and played for a little bit, and first of all, this hack is terrible. Most of the little mods they did to the layout blowup in their face, and they completely fucked up the order you get anything.
I quit playing after I noticed the boss of the western cave is the damn moth
BTW, kill all the monsters in the room. It isn't that hard to figure out.

Too bad it didn't pan out quality-wise. If you're interested in trying ALttP hacks though, give Parallel Worlds a try, if you haven't already. Its still somewhat incomplete, and a level of magnitude more difficult than the original ALttP, but fairly interesting, with new graphics, new dungeons and overworld areas, etcetera.

I suggest that this post be moved to ROM Hack.
