Just a little question. Why someone extracted FFV's music and not FFVI ? I know the difference is not big, but why extract FFV's music in PSF when we have it in SPC ? Does the PSF soundtrack sounds a "little" better than the SPCs ?

FFVI is actually partially ripped as of now, but it apparently was rather difficult and no one really wanted to do it. If anyone wants to, the work is available. FFV was extracted just because they wanted to, I suppose. But the PSF1s don't sound any better. They actually sound a little bit worse imho.

Yes, every last bit of audio in every Playstation FF4, 5, 6, and CT release sucked hardcore. Horrible audio emulation...or conversion.

To my knowledge, the games were simply direct ports and not optimized at all for the Playstation, which is why the load times are so horrible. It really does deter from the experience. Origins, however, was optimized for the Playstation and it plays just fine.

The FF5 used shit samples for it's music...sounded nothing like the original. But, I'm just hugely critical when it comes to audio as I find it very important...more important than graphics to me.

MGS 3's soundtrack is the about the highest quality soundtrack in a game I have ever heard.
