Default Lunar 2 saves go 'Poof!'

This is the second time its happened to me. I'am playing Lunar 2 from ISO image, on EPSXe and after a couple of hours, I save then turn it off. When I turn it back on again, my saves have vanished. Both times I was using the second memory card, but the second time I saved in multiple locations, in multiple memory blocks, and it still shows nothing when I try to continue.

Any ideas?

Nevermind. I'll probably just use savestates instead. Simpler this way, I think.

Though some games don't cope with save states that well.

For the memcard problem, make sure that your .mcr(or whatever) files are not 'read-only' files. This happens more often than one might think.

It wasn't that. What I did notice, was that when I saved in-game, and then looked at the Memory Card with the PSXMemTool, the save wasn't there. So maybe the game would save to memory but wouldn't write to the memory card immediately.<img src=smilies/werd.gif>

Anyway, save states seem to work, and I am keeping 3 of them around in separate slots, and so far, that seems to be working.
