Come to think of it, I think I've heard this before, but never really knew of a list of such mis-marked ROMs.

You just have to wait for the right deals. They had buy two get one free and half off at one point. I ended up paying around $6 for stuff like MegaMan 2 and Ninja Gaiden 3. Of course, so few of them carry NES games anymore that it's barely an option.

Hell, I went in there looking for a used copy of Pokemon Sapphire this weekend (so I could finish up my pokedex in Ruby) and the bastards want 30 bucks for that. Game's three years old...and they had like fifteen copies of it. Guess I know why.
None of the other GBA used games were as expensive as anything in the Pokemon series.
I've seen NES carts priced at $ 35. (I think it was FF1).

Yeah, this one EB I went into wanted about $40 for a NES copy of Mega Man 3. And about $30 for Mega Man 6. I asked the guys what the fuck was wrong with them - when the Anniversary collection had just come out, and was on their shelves. The guy behind the counter laughed and said it was up to 'coporate', and that I could always just buy the DVD with the emulation anyhow.

I threw the cart into the bin in disgust, went to my car, and walked back in with my top-loading NES. I shoved in in their faces and screamed, "YOU WANT TO SEE WHAT REAL POWER IS, ASSHOLE? I AM. I HAVE THE FUCKING TOP-LOADING NES."

And then I walked back out, got in my car, and drove home.

Huh? Everbody and his brother owns Circle of the Moon, Metroid is relatively new, and Fusion shouldn't be uncommon either since it's made by Nintendo. O_o

At least they have some kind of pricing guidelines. This one small game store around here had a copy of Dragon Quest VI with no price tag on it. One of my friends asked them how much they wanted for it and the guy behind the counter said, "Hold on, let me look it up." So the guy walks over to the computer on the other side of the store (it's not behind the counter, so you can see the screen over the guy's shoulder). He opens up Internet Explorer, goes to eBay, and looks it up there. He adds a few bucks to the most recent finished auction and quotes that as the price. Needless to say, my friend passed on their offer.
