Question iphone emulators?

are there really emulators available for jailbroken iphones? if so, how come they haven't gotten their own section on the site?

I don't know how the Iphone's touch screen works, but I had pocketNES on a pocketPC once, and when I pressed B and the control pad at the same time, it took the point in between the two ''butons'' on the screen (start).

Not that it's really relevant, but I really hate touch screens...

I think the iPhone's touch screen is better than that and can actually support 'dual touching' as I remember. Oh yeah, and as for why they haven't got a section...to be honest I know nothing about them or the jailbreaking process. That doesn't really help things.

I kept a list of all emulators I heard of supported by the iPhone - iPod Touch. Don't hesitate to use the information if you plan on creating a section :

Ah, well that makes it much easier. I guess I have a project for tonight.

Ok then, we've an iPhone section now. Thanks for your list, it would have been much harder otherwise as I'm not certain where to go for iPhone emulation news. Unfortunately many pages are for reference only as it seems a lot of the emulators require an app called Cydia to install, but I've added downloads/screenshots where I could.

As always, if anyone sees any missing, feel free to submit them to the news section.

Yes, I get it. You don't like Apple. I wasn't asking you to maintain the section. :P

Yeah Cydia is the server that sends the apps to everyone. Pretty much like most linux distros that use 'yum'. In a sense it makes the access to emulators easier for the general public, but unfortunately it completely kills the news scene because everybody gets his emulators updated to the latest version as soon as they open their iPhone, sometimes without being aware of it at all. That's why you don't know where to look for iPhone emulators news, there's nothing to look for
