If one were to pull pranks here or there on a vnc server. . . What would one do? nothing harmful, it's a friend's computer.
so far, I've been minimizing windows, and closing facebook and what not. just simple things.

Open an error window saying: "This is god, and I don't approve the pages you're browsing in late at nights."

It wasn't via VNC, it was via a really simple program of our own making, but me and my friends had someone we really didn't like in our CS classes, so we made this simple program that could read a file and would do a certain command for what the value of the file was.
We made sure his volume was turned up, and in the middle of class played a loud explosion sound through his computer, scaring the heck out of him. Then later shut it down a few times as he started it, just enough to freak him out. :P

Well, I made 2 computer pranks... at school. The teacher had to show a video to the class, so when the teacher was at the toilet, we incorporated a little porn movie, after the 5 seconds of the teacher's video. (We were all over 18)
The second prank is funnier imho. We took the teacher's keyboard, and changed the place of every button.

Haha, wow. On the keyboard one, does your teach not know how to touch type?

Well, when I was admin for a consulting company I used some tools to ensure security... and one time I was too lazy to call a user. So i prompted him a message via notepad on his own PC to call me back.
A few hours later I got him on the phone and he was really shocked.
A few weeks later almost everybody thought, that I knew everything on their PCs.
A few months later (after the email server crashed and everything was just cought in the firewall, where I gently forwarded each single "confidential" mail to the corresponding employee) people thought of me like a Godfather of all networks! I got free coffee, free cakes, well even some dates! Amazing!!!
And no. I am not the BOFH! *gggg*

Umm...wow. There's nothing else that I can say about that but "wow".
