Please do not submit hacks that are simply that. In other words, don't submit roms. Don't add the program you used to hack it unless you are the author.

I would also like to add that although you could submit your util that way, it's probably better to just post it to the Submit forum, since the ROM hack submissions aren't really for that.

Good:

Submit the Patch including:
- Patch*
- Readme / Installation Guide
- Screenshots
- Short Description

*required

Bad:

- Submit the Rom
- Resubmit Patches from other authors
- Submit wrong files at all
- Submit anything from other authors
- Submit everything but the patch

Anything else? ;-)

Uhh... you can submit something from another author as long as it's in their name and not yours.

Actually, no. What if said author only wants his hack hosted at suchandsuchsite.com? Permission is needed first before it can be hosted here.

What about if his/her hack is no longer here. I have to submit MegaMari (Rockman 1 hack) here without permission from the original author, because the download is no longer in the site from the original author.

Nope... like it or not, hacks are the property of the original hackers.

What if the original hacker committed suicide because nobody was playing his hack? It would be impossible to obtain permission because he's dead (and crapped his pants) but to not submit the hack would be tantamount to pissing on his grave!
