No. The game itself has the exact same content on both systems.

Ok, thanks for the info. I can't see myself buying a Wii ONLY for Zelda.

I was a little miffed at first too. The logic is that most players will hold the remote with their right hand, so it looks "better" or something if Link uses his right hand to slash his sword.

Which, in all honesty, is kind of a silly reason in some ways. The Wii marks the first console with a truly ambidextrous controller setup (from what I've seen of the controllers -- meaning, they're basically symmetrical, and all buttons can be reached just as easily with either hand). Besides, how hard could it have been to add a setting to choose which hand to use as your sword hand? I mean, they have the code/logic for Link both ways already between the 2 versions of the game. It should have been just a simple switch of which "handed" Link to load the game with.

The game is restricted by the fact that it's essentially a Gamecube game shoehorned into the Wii. I'm sure Nintendo will take care of it in the next Zelda game.

Who cares about which hand Link is using the most ? I really don't see the drama here. I never even put attention as to which hand Link is using in previous Zeldas.

It doesn't really matter to me which hand he uses... I was just pointing out that it should have been a simple option to add. I mean, they added a widescreen display mode to the Wii version after all.

What does that have to do with the possibility of adding an option to switch which model/logic is loaded for the playable character in a game?

It's not like we're taking about something that would have been impossible to do on the GC even...
