Default Can FireFox and Deer Park cohabit ?

I would like to use Deer Park just to try it and see for myself, but I don't want to lose the stable Firefox. I could install Deer Park in another folder than the default one no ?

Yes, you can have them both installed at the same time in different folders.

I've had no problems. I had both installed, then I stopped using Deer Park because one of the few extensions I considered absolutely essential to me wouldn't work with it. :P God dammit.

Which ones ? All my extensions still work.

Scroll Anywhere was the one I remember. I think there may have been another, but it was a minor one I could live without with no problem.

Is DeerPark even letting you try to use it? I've had some older versions of extensions not work with newer versions of Firefox and all I had to do was edit a file in the extension's xpi (essentially telling it that it will work on versions that it hasn't been tested on) and reinstall it.

I'm not sure, I guess it's just flagging it as incompatible.

If you want to give it a try, look at the "Power Tip: Installing Extensions You Know Are Compatible" section of http://www.mozilla.org/projects/fire...ns/update.htmlthis page</a>. This isn't exactly what I was talking about, but it looks like it's an easier method.
