Man, this one commercial that comes on like every three commercial breaks for this Takoma Health place. I want to call up the place and ask to speak to the woman in the commercial, then I'll say, "Hey, I'd like to say that that's very courageous of you to be on television like that, and I'm sorry about your accident." And she'll say, "What accident?" And I'll say, "The accident where you were horribly disfigured and then operated upon by a sadistic plastic surgeon who managed to botch the job so badly to the point where you look like Quentin Tarantino in drag, I mean seriously, what the fuck."

I hate healthcare commercials.
They're all so phony, and so is the profession nowadays. Hippocratic Oath? No Hypocritic Oath.

And if they make some kind of stupid mistake that forces you to come back to their office, they'll still charge you again. <img src=smilies/banghead.gif>

I know a guy who broke his finger. The doctor set it incorrectly. After a month of healing, the doctor had to break his finger again so it would come together properly. Free visit? Of course not.

And let's not forget permanent mistakes. My dentist drilled off a chunk of my gums while filling a cavity last June. It hurt then, even though I had been thoroughly numbed, and it still hurts now. It's healed a bit, but there's still a hole. "Oops, sorry." is all I got.
