rom download O.N.E. will not work for espxe

I really like this site and will be donating to try and collect roms to replace my missing disk 2's and scratched cdroms. I have been using espxe "1.60.0, 1.70.0, 1.52.0" for some time now to play both roms and my old playstation disks like ffVII and such simply because the graphics are much better on the pc emulator and tp settle the score on old games I haven't beaten yet. I haven't had any problems playing games on it except when I tried to play O.N.E. I have an old copy of O.N.E. on disk but the disk is scratched and none of the disk repair methods have worked. It won't load at all. The version I got was from zophars roms "one-ntsc-u-slus-00469-".

It isn't an ECM file is it?

Yes it is. Does this mean the file will never work? Can it be converted into a known format that espxe can read? :=(

I may have figured it out. Found an ecm/unecm utility for free online that was able to unecm the rom file. Will have to wait until I get home to see if it works in espxe.

Yep, that is what I was going to tell you.

ECM isn't a straight ISO..the ISO was run through ecm to make it compress better, unecm puts it back the way it was.

Well it's a good thing I use both espxe and psxemulator, cause O.N.E. only plays in psxemulator now, but at least it plays. The espxe emulator(all versions) only loads the title screen and just sits there. Thanks for the ECM question it pointed me in the right direction. :=)
