Ah, right...thanks. I think it's a case of there being so many flipping Pokemon games I can't remember them all anymore. @_@

They are for GBA but I have a few other gamboy advance games such as, Golden Sun, Wario Land 4 and Kirby: nightmare in dreamland but I don't know how to work it

P.S the games listed above work but Pokemon Emmerald, Ruby and Sapphire don't

Yeah...I know what you mean. Approximately 1/4 of them are abominations from Diablo himself *coughPokemon Mystery Dungeoncough*.

Oops...sorry for double post.

Anyway, I had heard at one time or another that the games (Pokemon E/R/S) were programmed so that if a game wasn't legit (i.e. in ROM format) then a trainer's Pokemon wouldn't listen to it...no matter what. I dunno if this is true or not, but if none of your Pokemon obey you, then that's probably why.

no it's not that, it's just that I can't start the game properly because it is just a blank screen when I open the game

If it's in a zip file, look inside to make sure there's no piracy "scene" junk in it. Often, with game boy advance games, there will be dizs and nfos and all sorts of things that don't belong. Sometimes there's even a second zip which actually contains the rom, plus more junk. If the filename has a number before the game title this is almost certainly the case.
