BTW, your ROM needs a header to use this.

(Fucking ROM sites distributing ROMs in .smc format without headers...)

you just earned my respect, you're a good man. On the other hand, you gave him what he wanted without him lifting a finger (in the ROM, I'm not talking about the photoshopping) I honestly think the best way this should have been done is helping him on doing it on his own, but eh I guess this will do.

Meh, all I did was compare the German patch to the original Japanese and took a couple pot-shots until the title screen "broke" then I just copied the data over from the German patch.

I didn't use his images, I didn't even bother decompressing the graphics, so really he did nothing for this patch except motivate me to actually make it.

I could never teach anyone to hack a ROM like me, I'm too damn sloppy, I didn't even compare them in a hex editior, I used YY-CHR

Default Thanks for defending me.

[This is my last post, I got what I was asking for, but hopefully maybe some of the things I tried to point out will help to tone down your superiority/hypocrisy/elitism/fan-boi complexes and MAYBE, just maybe you just might become nicer people and better liked. And I wasn't the only person, people on AEP and Tomato also thought you guys were being snooty jerks, I was actually suprised that people risked their "coolness" DEFENDING me]

This isn't "flame-bait" this is logic. Hypocrisy abounds in ALL social circles. So before jumping down someone else's throat about "copyrights" you should first look at yourself and ask these questions:

Romhackers: Did you ask the game companies' permission to hack or translate their rom?
(no, and its not likely they would've said yes if you did)

Furries: That pic you drew, did you make that on a LEGAL copy of Adobe Photoshop?
(most furries are poor/lazy [me included] so no...)

J-pop fans: Do you buy your music or do you download it from Limewire?
(only rich ppl can afford $40 for ONE cd that has maybe 12 tracks on it)

See? So long as they're not selling it and so long as they're not claiming credit for the trans, Neil doesn't care who hacks Sd3. I would've done NIETHER of those and I explained that several times, yet you guys had a fan-boi lynch party for him like you were doing him some favor.

That's just like how it is on F-chan, some crazed fan of a furry artist complains about somebody uploading that guy's pics threatening to rape them with a spoon and then the artist comes there and he's like "I don't care who uploads my pics! stop saying shit on behalf of me, ok?"

Default Locked.

There's been two requests to lock this thread, one from Neill one from Audigy, and one post that's total flamebait that hasn't been replied to as of right now, so I think now would be a good time to lock this thing.
Edited by JadussD on 11/17/05 08:59 PM.
