Why're you so self righteous about this hack? It has 'mansekcz' in the title for god's sake. :P

] You sir, did not answer my question. You see, when someone
] asks a question, and you respond, you could answer it, as
] per definition of a question. I guess that one went a little
] over your head, huh?

Please continue with the pretentious, stilted speech. No seriously, it really makes you seem more intelligent.

] ] There are alot of really good hacks that don't even touch
] ] graphics or even edit very much text. So you've hacked a
] ] GBA game...do you expect a cookie? Any of the experienced

] I didn't ask for a cookie, actually, I didn't ask for
] anything. I certainly didn't for a bunch of flaming from
] people who have done zip in similar categories (i.e. audio
] hacking, etc).

the simple fact of the matter is that you don't have any clue what people here can and cannot do. I don't care what you've done with the Audio, although i'm interested from a programming standpoint, if you used all your 'great audio hacking talents' just to have a character say, "l337!" or "manseckz!". Even my curiousity for the hack on a technical level would be lost at the first l337speak reference. Certainly nothing that's going to make me start doing backflips, or to make me forget about how idiotic this hack's premise is.

] ] rom hackers in here (including myself) COULD hack a GBA
] ] game...it's not that big of a deal.

] Sure you could. Let's see it. Let's see you do a hack this
] big. I'm not saying my hack is much at all, but it's more
] than you've done, and probably more than you'll do.
] Maybe you COULD. But will you? No. You don't even bother to
] tweak GBA games this much (which honestly isn't very much),
] and even though it might not be considered 'good', I have a
] GBA hack, which is more than you can say.

Hate to interrupt you, but you're kinda doing that whole "being an arrogant fuckhead" thing again. Yah, it get's annoying when you use it so much . I'd like you to tell me right now that i'm wrong, but as i've previously guessed, you know nothing of these people you're insulting or what level of romhacking experience they have. I'm sure many any peope here have probably worked on more and larger projects than you have. You're not the fucking romhacking czar, sorry to say.

] ] You come in here
] ] sporting a simple minded spoof hack and expect the
] emulation
] ] community to put you on a pedastool JUST because you've
] ] hacked a GBA game?

] Wow, just like I asked for? Oh wait, I didn't ask for that
] and you read a sentance that didn't exist. You have serious
] problems, you know? Calm yourself down and focus on the text
] on the screen in front of you.

Be calm, says the pot to the kettle. Stop getting so worked up over something so totally not worth it. Your hack just isn't funny to many people on this forum. I can almost guarantee that your hack will not be funny to a majority of people. Get over it. It's nothing to cry about, it's nothing to flame an entire board about. And it's hard to show you appreciation for your vast efforts in GBA hacking when you act like such a dick. Why don't you jump back almost a full decade when these hacks were more prevelant and i'm sure you'll get a better reception then.

I honestly think me and you would get along. I mean, you're an arrogant asshole.. but I dunno. You seem like someone I'd be ok with.

It's a complete re-dub of the games.

Oh yes, because the narration/dialogue is by and large the most important thing in a game. No wonder the Megaman Zero series is the best! [/sarcasm] Keep in mind, what is said vocally in the MMZero series is already hard enough to understand, and all of them are GBA games. Unimpressive at any rate...

<blockquote><font class="small">In reply to:</font><hr>

Both graphics and text are changed.

"Whoopty damn do." You changed tiles and what the text arrangement. Congratz, you are now officially a n00b.

<blockquote><font class="small">In reply to:</font><hr>

It's a hack of a GBA game.

<hr></blockquote>
And the first hack is of 1337 sp34k. Congratz, even lamer than being a n00b.

<blockquote><font class="small">In reply to:</font><hr>

Regardless of the game's actually content, how many ROM hacks can you describe with the above 3 sentences?

<hr></blockquote>
Zero. I don't even acknowledge that newest FF game to be part of the real series. Your hack belongs in the same abyss.

No idea on the megaman stuff. I'm sure your making a good point, but sorry, it's over my head.

You're right, nothing in this hack is a big deal. Nothing about it is. But why other people make that out of it is awkward, huh?

You sure like that word a lot, I take it you play FPSs a lot. Nothing more original than calling someone new. Yep. I can't think of anything worse than being new at something, because we all know no one's ever been new before.

Umm, there's a big difference here. FF games are generally good, and shouldn't be grouped in with what I made.

I know very well that the people here could essentailly make a game for any system. But being able to make something is not the same as making it. If you are trying to imply that being able to speak french is the same as speaking french, I have to disagree. Applying your knowledge, even if close to no knowledge. Is a different world than knowing. Even just a making a stupid joke is better than "hey, I could make something better than that." I hope you understand, anyone frequenting this place should be skilled enough to do stuff way beyond this. It's really a shame not to often see things better. Do you not agree that GBA hacks shouldn't top at this advanced?

Sorry about the arrogance, it is a little on the rude side, but people visiting here don't seem to mind when people are rude, so we'll have to get used to it. Anyway, as I said before COULD hack is different that DO or WILL hack.
And if you can quote when I said I am the rom hacking czar, I will never touch another GBA ROM.

>Stop getting so worked

Damn you beat me to it.

It would scare me if a majority of people found it funny. And remember, it's not the humor that's supposed to be funny, but that it's stupid that it's funny. Ah, you're not going to get it.

>it's hard to show you appreciation for your vast efforts in GBA
>hacking when you act like such a dick.

Becuase I was acing like a huge dick when I introduced the hack. =P. Get over yourself. Common, we both have better things to do.

...Ummm, no, I hate first person shooters with a passion.

The newbies make pure shit at first, yours is another example of this. Everyone does it, as I have as well. Now stay away from the 11 year old humor that nobody gives two shits about, and work on something with quality.

Yay, someone that doesn't know how to read. You asked, "Regardless of the content..." which translates as "no matter how good or bad this is" which is what I was responding to. There are many worthless Super Mario World, Final Fantasy (any of them), and SMB hacks. Now you are making a bridge to shitty Sonic hacks. If it weren't for the Genesis format being barf, there'd be a fuckton of shitty Sonic hacks as well.

You just picked barf quality as a bridge to getting GBA hacks done. So, again, congradulations, you are now immortalized for this worthless heap of crap you call a hack.

There already are a fuckton of shitty Sonic hacks, you just have to know where to look <img src=smilies/thumb.gif>

As for this entire topic, it seems like there's this overlying theme that he hacked a GBA game and is therefore special... it's not that hard, I've done it before (Never released anything though), others have done it, it's not hard.
