Default Temporal flux 3

has anyone ever made a guide to using temporal flux 3? I have the offsets guide, but I'm at a loss as to how to read it. I've figured a few things out, but I can't figure out how to do certain things.

P.S. I'm new to ROM editing. And I'm a retard when it comes to computers.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Krickets

It also seems you're a retard when it comes to posting in the right forum. Moving.

Also, no I haven't used it at all.

Why yes, someone has written a guide to using Temporal Flux. Keep in mind that they left out one very important features... the part where Square-Enix may very well sue you for using it.

Edit: Hey, that manual is available right on this very site! God damn you people suck.

Thanks, Drunken Hacker, but that guide only says what you CAN do not how to do it. I'm interested in overriding the story, but I can't figure out the memory values and what they mean. But I guess I need to learn some more about reading hex values and such.

I find that a good method for learning the basics of rom hacking is to start small.

Find a game that you like and follow tutorials on text editing, and graphics editing. It's also a good idea to find a game that has a good amount of game specific documentation so that you can also edit some character stats or enemy stats using a hex editor.

Alternatively, you can find documentation on how to find out how a specific game stores level data or character stats.

I learned a lot from hacking pokémon silver. There is a lot of documentation, the text is not compressed, the trainer's pokémon are easy to find, and all of the items and pokémon's hex values are given in a certain tutorial allowing you to find things easily in the rom.

Krik, you're better off asking for help on this at the chronocompendium.com website. At least you'll get more helpful responses than insults >.>

Actually, The Drunken Hacker's post provided some helpful information, and it was less of an insult and more of a statement of frustration.

Hm...can they even talk about that stuff any more? (with what happened to Crimson Echoes...*heavy sigh*)

Thanks! The only way to learn is to ask questions, right?

The compendium has their hands tied on this one, under pain that Square would probably crush them with the weight of a hundred parasite lawyers.

Sue a user for using a program to edit a SNES rom, yes, that makes sense. That's what happens when they get fed bad info and think it's meant to crack the DS rom. =\
