Here is my main problem with the Wii right now.
I received Elebits as a gift and I'm having an absolute blast with it. Very fun game, easy to pick up and get into, has the "just one more level" hook...a solid title all around. Is it worth $50? No.
The Wii has a handful of "looks cool, but not $50 cool" titles out right now and that is a big problem. We are all buying Ubisoft ports with Wii functionality thrown in because the system is brand new and that kind of stuff can sell. But can you imagine if Red Steel, in its current state, was released a year from now? Unacceptable.
A lot of people have said that the first few months of the Wii will look similiar to the first few months of the DS - minigame compilations and "hey cool, touchscreen" games that are fun but shallow. I'm waiting for someone, either Nintendo or a random third-party, to finally "get it" and release a game that is actually worth $50 and is not called Zelda.
