Default Having trouble with a game...

Hey everybody, new member here. My problem is that I've been trying to play Beyond the Beyond for the Playstation, but can't seem to get it to run.

I first tried the latest version of ePSXe, but it never made it past the SCEA screen (I've heard other people have had the same problem).

Next, I tried pSX. This one made it all the way through the opening scene. But when I left the village, the graphics suddenly become completely glitched, and the game becomes unplayable. Again, I've heard that other people have had this problem. However, this is also the first time I've ever used a Playstation emulator, thus I'm not sure if the problem is the game or the emulator.

Here's what I'm using:

Emulator - pSX v. 1.13
BIOS - SCPH1001.bin
