PSX ISO hacking....... will it ever be possible? (Note: not plugging a program)

Haven't you ever wanted to change the way the Junction system from FF8? Make a Legend of Legaia Hardtype? Put yourself into Tekken 3? This may not be possible in the years to come, but you can hope. I see these games fully editable in 6-9 years, give or take. I mean, someone may have almost made a program to do this, but may have been <img src=smilies/2gunsfiring_v1.gif><img src=smilies/2gunsfiring_v1.gif> by gangstas, or something.

Cless is still in the process of hacking various Tales PSX titles. And I seem to recall....Gideon Zhi I think? working on one of the Shin Megami Tensei related titles.

I think those guys are probably your best bet as far as questions go.

it's possible. It's just that the real dificulty comes in two things

1. You are working with muuuuch more data, and finding/editing data is more difficult
2. Distributing data is tough as well, since there are various CD image formats as well
3. most games are images are in RAW format, so you have to watch for that too.

so, impossible? no. Difficult as hell? Yah.
