You have one great hack to look forward to in the near future. It's Dragoon X Omega II, which according to Sliver-X is getting near completion.

Yeah, that's about all I'm looking forward to right now.

I understand your plight. However, there are tons of consoles out there for your hacking needs, each with different capabilities. N64, Psx, GBA...Just an example of what we should be focusing on.

The days of NES have come and gone, people. Time to move on to the next generation of consoles.

Of course

And there should be another fun NES hack coming soon.

Edit: You know what's bothering me? My inability to criticize shitty graphics, I rip and edit my graphics so I don't feel its right to criticize someone who took the time to do everything by hand, but when it makes a game look worse...

I need to finish my FF1 hack before all my little "secrets" within its engine are discovered by others...
Edited by Dark Knight Kain on 12/01/05 10:49 AM.

Says who? As long as people play these games there will be enough interest in hacking them. I for one will never move away from playing with SFC/SNES games. I guess my point is a few people can't and shouldn't dictate where hacking goes just because they aren't interested in the older generation consoles. The people playing these older games are the ones dictating where hacking is and is going. Where the NES hacking is now the SNES will be in about a year or two--the ability to massively ASM hack games is coming for SNES--far beyond just translating the games. GBA, N64, and PSX will have it's day--but not until everyone's just about done with the older generation consoles.

...Wasn't that the whole point of this thread?

but seriously now, I do agree with you there...People still haven't had their fill of NES, I guess...SNES is next on the list, then? How about Genesis?

If it is then I missed it? Maybe I should re-read it.

Yes, how about Genesis? I for one would love to see some Genesis hacks that are fun. I tried to hack a couple of RPGs but found some crazy compression or something that wasn't normal and quit.

I'd like to see some hacks for NDS games...I did find this one website where a fellow hacked the Metroid Prime: Hunters demo ROM to load beta testing levels not normally accessible...mentioning this because I cannot find that website anywhere. >_<
