Default "Chrono Trigger: Reja Vu" announcement/progress reports

Just in case anyone cares to know, myself and a few others have started on a {hopefully} massive textual expansion of Chrono Trigger. The biggest tool in this is BisQwit's translation system, with the help of the Lunar Expander to help fit all the extra text. Time will show how it all turns out, but so far there haven't been many problems.

A few screenshots of the work so far can be found here.;

It seemed cool, but then i saw "Crono:"...I'm kind of sad.

Well, personally, the mute protagonist was one of my few annoyances with the game. Hope you like it anyway, though.

This has quite a bit of potential, looks cool. I also find Chrono speaking a bit weird as well, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

I think it's cool that Chrono is now saying something.

Me too, project looks cool <img src=smilies/thumb.gif>

One annoyance I have with all the RPGs from the SNES age is the way speaking is done:
Name: Text.

I prefer the way the PSX FF games did their text:
Name
"Text."

Of course that's just me, it's your hack, I'd just like to see the text boxes in this fasion.

Default Strange thing is...

I had never paid any attention to the fact that Chrono was a mute, until I saw it pointed out on some site. Just cause they don't do a "Chrono:" doesn't mean he's mute . . . At the trial, they ask you (Chrono) questions, which you (Chrono) answer. He's not a mute, just dumb.

And he speaks in one of the endings. Odd though that the only lines he ever got where replys "you" make or argue with Marle and Lucca over their taste in men.
