People edit, but how do you ADD?
My friend thought of a funny idea that I should add a new secret character to FF3 by adding Jesus!
I make a whole new town just for Jesus to live in, and you fight him (I already made a Jesus sprite, I just redid the Final Kefka and put in long hair and a beard, as for the character sprite I redid Setzer since he has long hair already) and when you win he joins. Is it possible to add a town, and character? I keep searching for guides but it only talks about editing. I have 2 of the best FF3 editing programs but they can only edit, I don't think they add anything.. So is it possible to add more to the game? I'm not experienced with hex editor but I can always learn. As long as I know if addiing a sidestory to FF3 is possible otherwise it's not worth making some enemy to add in the dino-forest like what everyone else does usually. <P ID="signature"></P> |

You could call it Final Fantasy 666. You could have a scene where Locke and Sabin throw a Molotov cock-tail over the gates of heaven: LOCKE: Alright, light it! SABIN: Okay, it's lit! As for your question, yeah, you could add stuff if there's room where the data for the maps, lay-outs, monsters, etc. is stored, but the editor doesn't support that, and I doubt there is room...You could do some serious hacking, expand the ROM to 32Mbit, and move all the data to the extra space, and change all the pointers so it points to it and add new ones for the new shit, but that's like, hard. I think JadussD is correct. You'd more than likely have to expand the rom to 32 bit and do a buncha pointer changing...it'd take a while.

Anyway, seems people are all for the idea... so how do I expand it to 32 bit since that's what I have to do it seems....There's still space left, are you sure I have to?
