Default check out this NES emulator

I've been working on this NES emulator for a few years and am getting ready to release a new version. Check out the user interface in this video and let me know what you think.

huh, I'm going to assume those are prerendered clips. That many emulated machines would be next to impossible, unless your emu goes for speed whilst sacrificing accuracy which in that case I wouldn't be interested.

EDIT: I took a look at your website. It seems as though you are actually claiming that those are being run at real time, which makes me wonder how much horsepower you would need for each "emulated machine." Something there would have to be sacrificed. I sure hope though that you took multi cores into mind.

All of the games are indeed being run in real time. On my 3.0GHz Core 2 Duo, I get about 110-120 fps with a full screen of games (my laptop only manages about 12 fps).

So yes, they are running at full speed on a fast enough machine. There are multiple emulation threads, so both cores are being used.

nemulator does per-scanline emulation, as opposed to per-pixel, so it's not the most accurate emulator. For 99% of the games out there, there's no difference. Does it sacrifice accuracy for speed... well, maybe... but only a little bit

That's a pretty intriguing idea. It's kind of like how PocketNES runs the game as you are choosing them, except this shows all the games at once. :P Might be something fun to try on my Quad core computer I'm building. My laptop not so much.
