I downloaded the IPS of Final Fantasy 3/6 Eternal Crystals, and cannot figure how to patch it. I am using Lunar IPS but every time i try and run the ROM after i supposedly successfully patch it, the ROM wont work. Suggestions?

EDIT: Um never ind i figured it out, after doing some digging, i found the issue was i needed to add a header to the ROM in question. ^_^ Also i dunno why but when i downloaded NSRT, my virus protection went nuts on the file why would it do so?

Which antivirus are you using? And are you downloading it from this site? I've used NSRT several times, so I can ascertain that it's not a virus.

Edit: I downloaded the versions of NSRT for Windows and DOS that are hosted on Zophar's Domain and neither of them threw up any flags in Avast.

Use SnesTool to add a header to the start of the rom file.

Try patching after you've done that and see if it works.

Uh... but he's already solved the problem. Using much better tools than SNESTool.

My guess would be that it's just a false positive. Is it the Windows or DOS version? If it's the Windows version, was it the executable archive or the actual NSRT executable? (If you don't know what I mean, the original .exe you download is just a self-extracting archive. Is that what set off AVG or was it one of the .exe files that it unzips to the folder you specify?)

Don't forget to look into translations as well as hacks. In particular, I would recommend Treasure Hunter G, a complete English translation for a SNES RPG made by Square. In general, I despite Square games (including Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger) but I really enjoyed Treasure Hunter G.

Also, there are no girls on the Internet.

I've been using the handle InVerse since before the Slayer's anime (but not the manga) existed. I've never seen the anime. Outside of Miyazaki, I've seen very little anime that I didn't hate.
