Default Sound Emulation Help (Gradius 3 Arcade, Channels)

I'm looking for a way to play sound and music from the Gradius 3 ROM with individual channels able to be muted or unmuted.

Nebula's Jukebox program has a feature like this, but it does not support this ROM. Japanese sound emulator Hoot supposedly supports this ROM, and has channel mute/unmute features, but I can't seem to get the program to play back music from any of my ROMs (except for Street Fighter Alpha 3, oddly enough).

M1 plays the ROM's music beautifully, but as far as I know, it has no channel-specific features.

Can anyone help me out? Is there another program out there that can do what I'm looking for? Or do you have any suggestions for how to get Hoot to read my ROM?

Thanks a lot! <img src=smilies/magbiggrin.gif>
