Default starfox v1

I don't think I have posted this. I don't remember but here is a hack of starfox version 1 where you play as the high poly model from the title screen.

dumb question, but wouldn't that bog down the SuperFX chip?

On a real SNES, probably. But this is emulation. As far as I remember reading, the emulation played alright.

Those were different models? Huh, I never noticed. Now that I think about it though it makes sense.

You know... I don't know. I would figure that the emu would run the same speed as the hardware.

Three things to note.

1) The on screen indicators hang around during screen wipes, which I swear doesn't happen on an unhacked ROM.
2) The transitions between low-poly and high-poly models look a bit messy, but there's probably nothing that can be done about that.
3) I could feel the engine struggling a bit during the 'SCRAMBLE' intro, which gives me the impression that this is pushing the SuperFX chip further than it was meant to go. This is really the last thing a game that struggles to get above 20FPS needs. So I think I'll pass on this.

No, ZSNES. I should've specified that really. Still felt a bit pokey in parts.

That seemed to happen with the original ROM, too.
Though I haven't played it awhile, so it could be an old emulator version, too.
