I would recommend also buying the comic (it is now available in 4 or 5 parts for about $19 per storyline) and then rewatching it so you can see just how well they did with the transition.

Jesus fucking Christ that was great! Easily one of the best films to come out in the last few years. It's funny because not until you've finished watching it and bask in its glory for a couple hours do you realize just how much violence was in it. Very artistically well done, superb acting (by Mickey Rourke most of all, strangely enough), and it's nice to see Elijah Wood doing something out of the norm...seeing him as what he was would be like going to a strip club and seeing the shyest girl in school on the stage. Awesome...my props to all involved.
