rant. seriously this is emulation related.
What in the hell is the deal with people naming stuff so retardedly? I got tons of ROMs for a Visualboy Advance, and they are all named
"castlevania - circle of the moon _us_proper)js@#3w23ssworthlessinformation>>>erughs ert/.zip"
and there's about 3 copies of each and every damn game!
I mean seriously, if you're going to have a collection of ROMs available for download, why not name them normally?
Metroid Fusion US.zip
Castlevania CotM US.zip
Metroid Zero Mission US.zip
Is it that hard? Now I have to install a renamer and remove all of the worthless junk that's put in front of these names, and find all of the worthless copies of games that are in freakin Portuguese or Hindu and delete them.

I like the convention of...
ActRaiser (J).jma
Another World (E).jma
Axelay (U).jma
But that's mostly because I see a lot of SFC and MD ROMs named that way.

That's the way CherryROMs always did it... seems to be the best.
I think the problem is that a lot of servers, to protect their sources, tend to use CGI scripts to link you to your destination file. So, when you download it, the filename gets mangled somehow. Come to think of it, that wouldn't even explain it... I think the people who rip ROms are just really, really lazy-ass retards sometimes...

Well, it would be really good if only the people behind the numbered romsets would NOT ALLOW FUCKING HACKED INTROED ROMS.
That seriously pisses the shit outta me.

Nevermind the fact that they're just pirates out to get their names published first for the most part.

I hate those numbers.
"OK, so I'm looking for Metroid Zero Mission, now I'll just look at the 'M' ROMs and... DAMMIT!"

Is it really that big of a deal? I mean, oh no, you have to load three whole roms just to find the game you want. Is that really too big a price to pay in order to not shell out $30 for a gba game?

$30? Where? The three games mentioned routinely go for $50 or more, USED. ;_;

Re: rant. seriously this is emulation related.
Oh I'd say it's a big enough deal to be annoyed. Do I really need 10 copies of a game? I could understand TWO copies, a US and a JPN version, but 10? come on. Here's a quick example of some of the 6 gigs of Genesis ROMs I have.
