Well ... either way, pass the message I guess.
I don't know if there's a way to actually bootleg that game yet. All existing bootlegs break as soon as you update the EXE to 1.04 (which the translation requires). Maybe Alcohol will handle it if you mount the CD since it's Starforce 2.0. With Starforce 3.0 games like Fantasia Sanguo, Heroine Anthem II or Legend of the Swordsman & Fairy II you actually need to unhook all your IDE CD-ROM devices manually (even shutting them off in the BIOS won't work), othewise it ignores your emulated CD device.
That reminds me, I need to install Heroine Anthem II again later. I'm curious if it will be possible to pull off this trick on my laptop since I don't even have an IDE CD-ROM device, my entire drive just pulls out the side of the machine. I'd love to be able to play it off my hard disk because I hate how much wear it puts on both my drive and key disc to always need it in the drive.
A manner of removing protection from a Starforce EXE has yet to be found. Thousands of Chinese pirates still haven't found a way aside from stupid things you have to do to your machine to eek by with CD emulation.

The PayPal donations are different, too, in my head...completely optional. Hell, I donated some money to Loopy...great PocketNES emulator I use all the time, and great work on the Nintendo DS firmware.

I don't want to look a gift horse in the mouth, but what kind of cheesy puff is that? O_o

Offtopic somewhat, but does anyone mind that my last few posts have only had to do with my USF projects? I can just quietly add them to the archive if I offend anyone, but I'm just not able/willing to keep up with the news.
<hr></blockquote>
Do what I do: If there aren't enough to warrant news, keep track of that, but when more are uploaded that would warrant news (cause there's like 5 or 6 of them) then you can make one giant news post. <img src=smilies/thumb.gif> Give that a try and see what happens.

Ok, that's what I'm doing now (I'm waiting on the Blast Corps release until I have another batch ready).

How do we beat him at his own game?
By translating our own version first <img src=smilies/magbiggrin.gif>. What kind of money will he make then?
Stupid punk.
EDIT: Oh yeah, you won't find the ROM by looking for "Beggar Prince". I found the untranslated ROM by googling this:
新乞丐王子
The GoodGEN name for the rom is this: Xin_Qi_Gai_Wang_Zi_(Ch).zip
(There are 2 of them, but the other is [a1], whatever that means...)
Hope the developers out there have fun with it.<P ID="edit"><FONT class="small">Edited by Blade556 on 06/16/05 10:59 AM.</FONT></P>

a1 refers to an alternate dump. However, there are no alternate dumps of the game.
90% of the Genesis alternate dumps have been caused by someone hacking the SEGA string in an interleaved rum, and the code in GoodGen not being intelligent enough to correct that. Usually patching those two bytes back to SG in the header are enough to fix the game and revean a previously declared alternate ROM as identical to the original.

It wont be released in Australia, so I dont give a fuck. I'll probably end up playing it when it gets dumped and cracked anyways, that's about it.
If it were to actually get a release in more than one place it *might* warrant looking at, but it wont, so end of story.
