Question about some ZD graphics & fonts

I like a crisp edge and sometimes antialiasing will leave a halo around the edge of something you cut out which makes anything below it fuzzy in a lower layer and you probably want a crisp edge if you do the next step coolie outlined.

Yes I do believe antialiasing is a good thing though I tried not to use it in layer when I did celebrity fakes instead choosing the smudge or blur tool with a very low setting of maybe 15% or lower, but only to blend the layers or just to hide where they are joined.

Vectors I'm not that good with, probably because I haven't found a good lesson in their use or a project that I need them for myself.

When it comes to layers, basic graphic editing *non vector*, or video editing I've got a suprising amount of experience, but what else do you expect from the pronmaster. <img src=smilies/magbiggrin.gif>

You know you can edit the layer opacity mask, don't you?

No no no no.

Don't ever use the eraser tool for that purpose. Photoshop has a wonderful feature called layer masks. They can be applied to any layer you like, and are nondestructive. You can be as fine as you like, yet never, ever harm the underlying image.

I made the following EPS in ten minutes using only the pen tool (I know what I said about EPS, but it's small and maintains paths; perfect to upload here). I brought it into Illustrator, and added a really really simple gradient and stroke just as an example.
