Default DS redesign photos

I like it. The power button was moved to the side as was the stylus holder. The mic was also moved into the middle.

This will probably be the one I get when I get the money.

Looks like the GB Micro power adapter. Boo.

Edit: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ds/lite/ga...img/image6.jpgGBA carts stick out ~1cm</a>. Boo again.

Gross. Almost as bad as the regular GB cart in the SP.

Welcome to two weeks ago.

Anyway, it looks nice but I already shelled out plenty of money for a DS and I can't afford to just go out and buy another one any time soon. The DS is a bit heavy and uncomfortable at times, but I can live with that by thinking about how much the solution would cost me.

But if I were to get a new DS for some reason, would it be a DS Lite? Maybe.

The sticking out of GBA cartridges is one blatent flaw I don't like about it, and see the power switch on page 6 of that PDF? I can see the possibility of me accidentally turning the whole thing off at some point if I get a little vigourous (and believe me, I do).

So I'll wait and see. If my current DS should end up too badly broken to work and my concerns about the DS Lite are found to be invalid, then I'll probably get one. Otherwise, not worth it.

I'm thinking that just shows you can insert your cartridge there. I'm pretty sure that it'll sit with just the 'tip' of the cartridge sticking out. I really don't think it'll stick out THAT far.

What really gets me is that the DS is still new. They should make some kickass games on it (more of them). But no. Why make games for a system when you could... redesign it!

I wouldn't be so sure. Nintendo have taken the depth down from 84.7mm to 73.9mm, which is a decrease of 10.8mm or 1.08cm. That's almost exactly how much Reaper man said it was sticking out. Also note the text at the bottom has '1cm' in it. All signs are pointing towards the same conclusion.

This isn't the first time Nintendo has done this either. Look at the GBA-SP with a GB/GBC cartridge in it. Exactly the same thing. It's not going to be a huge issue, but it will look ugly.

I'm nearly positive that it sticks out that way (notice the '1cm' in the caption). Also notice that, in the other pics, you can see a white plug in the gba slot. The http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ds/lite/ga...img/image5.jpgwhite plug</a> can be seen here. It is definately smaller than a gba cart.

I've been meaning to say: I stand corrected.
