Ah, that's what it was! Nice stuff...I'd love to see a graphical update to The Adventure of Link (like BS Zelda was to the first Zelda).

Yah and I always thought modding Actraiser in to a Zelda II game would be neat. Clearly Actraiser had the superior play control, though making it work right would be a real chore since you level from town building insted of monster fighting and magic is set up in to single scrolls, and I have know idea how you'd had the extra moves, completely modd the overworld or add NPCs.

That looks pretty good. Rather unusual, though I say that having only had experience with the top-down games (such as "Oracle of Seasons") or borrowing Ocarina of Time. Actually, I don't think I've ever played "Link's Adventure".

I'd say something else, but I'm about to faint from hunger.

I just looked up and got that BS Zelda game. Very interesting. I at first thought it was the 2nd quest from Zelda 1, but the overworld is about half size. It was fun to play it though.

yeah, that's the only thing....the overworld size, but it is still fun like you say. Just a question...do you have the complete version, or one of the BS Parts? It was released in 4 parts as it was a BS Satellaview game, and a hacker named Roto took those and put them together so they'd play as one game (it also has a patch by someone else to change the sprite from the Satallaview mascot into Link if I'm not mistaken)...I'm not sure which one is in GoodSNES, if it has them all listed I mean.

I simply did a google search for "BS Zelda" and found a bunch of roms. I just got the first one on the site's list. It plays fine. Link looks like a white hair guy. I played it through levels 1-8. The place where Ganon is would be "Level 9" of sorts, though it's just a short hall and you fight him.

I read that the original game is buggy or something, so that's why I got the first one on the list.

The one part of the game that seemed strange is when you get random powerups like infinite bombs, a boomerang that harms anything, or all the heart containers! I lost them after a while. The "Zelda time" didn't seem useful either.

Ah, yeah....that is probably the one. In the original, I don't think you could usually get that far without cheating because the versions released were somewhat complete and missing the Power Bracelet. Link doesn't look like a white haired guy though in the one I have. Does it have the title screen that is just like a still screen of the Zelda 1 NES title? :P

Yeah, that happens every so often, where you get the crazy power ups for awhile. If you mean the timer thing (when you say 'zelda time') I think it was more important in the original BS versions....although there ARE some time based events in the game, like the reveal of one of the dungeons, there are also certain heart containers you can't get after a certain time.

Yes. The still Zelda 1 title screen is there. That's lame about the timed events, but I beat it with almost all the hearts.
