People still use ICQ ? My number is so old. (28402362) I dunno when I got rid of ICQ, probably when Messenger 1 came.

Pidgin ? I'd try it, but they're still using an older version of the Messenger protocol.

well it's part of AIM now, and there's one person on my AIM list with an ICQ number.

I think you can enable it via command line, but it's buggy... I think

I'd wait for 3.0

God, I haven't used IRC in years. Used to be the ultimate time killer.

I sometimes use AIM or MSN, albeit very rarely; most people I know don't use it anymore.

I use Facebook and Myspace regularly; generally Myspace for friends I went to high school with, and Facebook for college and some high school friends.

Funny that, I've never been into chatrooms. Too many people, too impersonal.

IM and such is more for me.

I've been on IRC almost non-stop (barring loss of internet over the years) since 1997.
it's still the best method of communication. I still have ICQ/AIM, MSN, YIM, Jabber/Gtalk, etc. I use IRC more. I purchased a DS because I knew eventually someone would make an IRC client for it (CLIRC is still the best for the platform).

fifteen years from now, I still fully expect to see my nick idling in an IRC channel somewhere. with luck, it'll be the ones I frequent already.

by confirming that you are anonymous, you are no longer anonymous.

I'm pretty sure the overall IQ of the group raised by a few points because of your leaving, however. that should make you feel a little better about life.

Trillian. May not be the best of programs, but it works well enough usually.
