Re: 16 bit to 8 bit
Last I checked, this was an emulation site. Which is generally used to run "obsolete games", as you call them. Nevermind the fact a lot of colleges are teaching NES assembly now.

Re: 16 bit to 8 bit
Touche
Now please note, the game system is obselete. No new games are being programmed for it. The purpose of emulation, IMHO, is to conserve the games of these obselete systems for now and the future. Infact, I believe alot of the games from the older simpler systems are better than the games now.
Now, the joke - or what is funny - is all the animosity displayed in this tread on rom hacking over asking how to fit a 16 bit image in an 8 bit game system. The bitching and gripes are pathetic.
As far as NES assembly being taught in schools now, I am not sure, but I suspect your refering to the assembly language found in Motorolla microcontrollers. This assembly is in use and would be the same or very similar to the Motorolla 6508 Assembly code.
Hell, in school, I learned 8086 assembly and had to play around with an 8088 microcontroller.

Yes, but it can't top your continuing ignorance of an English concept that most eight-year-olds are aware of.

Re: 16 bit to 8 bit
Ah, it is an attempt at an insult by criticism of my previously acknowledged poor grammar on the internet. Nice and mature.
Moogle, the flame does not work. I have acknowledged my grammatical incompetance on the internet. Worse, insults of my intellect just dont work. I am very secure in my intelligence and do have both academic and applied experience to back it up.
Try again!

Re: 16 bit to 8 bit
Just so you know, I wasn't trying to be inflamatory. I was simply answering your question. It's dumb to argue about grammar on the internet, but whatever.

Re: 16 bit to 8 bit
NES Assembler specific college course: http://bobrost.com/nes/lectures.php
damn, i wish i could take that <img src=smilies/upeyes.gif>. nevermind the fact that it runs off of a silly BASIC language created by Bob Rost.. i wouldn't care if i had to work with an unpractical bloated thing like that if i could only learn about NES in school...
