It's Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia for the DS

as much as I want to love the game, I'm having a hard time getting into it. I realy don't care for how items are implemented in the game... it bugs me for some reason. Then again, I'm a completionist and the never ending item chests irk me I guess. Oh yeah and for the most part enemies never drop equipment, ever >:{ (Glyphs don't count)

9th sage: is that actually a widescreen wallpaper or did you crop it to be one?

Not much has changed visually despite Ubuntu being changed out for the testing distribution of Debian. :>

I see the scaling on Snes9x is pretty shit there, and you're getting the same error message about "/dev/mem" I kept getting when running Snes9x. I never figured out how to make it use full screen mode or scale to more than 2x zoom (2x zoom = 512x480, which is tiny on a 1680x1050 LCD monitor, Snes9x needs an overhaul for the 21st century). I now use bsnes exclusively, though ZSNES may be a good option for me eventually. A GPLed SNES emulator written in C99 with a GUI that uses Qt widgets? It's a dream come true...

Also, you may be seeing new screens from me later this month if I decide Kubuntu 8.10 is right for me. I'm just not sure KDE 4.1 is mature enough yet.

I was wondering why it looked so nasty, I didn't actually bother to turn any of the scaling options on because most of them didn't look much better. This is the best I could get it to look, and that wasn't in "true" fullscreen either:

(gross)

The only reason that I haven't switched over to ZSNES is that, for some reason, SNES9x will recognize more keys pressed at a time on my ancient PS/2 (PO/S? :P) keyboard than ZSNES will...the peripherals get upgraded when they break, the PC itself gets upgraded as soon as possible. ;> SNES9x is a bit of a curiousity, I have no idea why it still needs/wants root permissions to /dev/mem just to do fullscreen...

1280x1024 it is. I didn't really crop it, it just looked ok when I chose to have it centered on the desktop (nothing important got cut off). You should check the japanese site for the game, there are a lot of cool looking wallpapers.

I did already, and all of them are full screen, which makes me a sad panda :<

Here's mine. It tends to get cluttered with alot of icons so I try to clean it at least once a month. Last cleaning was done 1 week ago. So this really feels like bringing people home and I haven't cleaned the house before
