Default Good (free?) video editor

I need a simple video editor...I was trying to use Windows Movie Maker, and it was actually working pretty well for what I want it for, but it crashes after I add so many clips. >_< It's too bad, because it was actually pretty easy to figure out.

Any suggestions from anyone?

Nevermind, found a nice free one called http://www.debugmode.com/wax/WAX</a> that seems pretty good. Haven't really scratched the surface on learning everything it can do yet, but it's easy enough to get up and go, editing together something simple.

If that fails, Virtual Dub is decent. At least for editing out stuff.

Well, I used Vdub to cut out the clips (and actually to mux the new MP3 audio track in with the video), but it was easier to arrange them with an actual editor.
