app
I hate this word. I hate the iPhone. And I hate the way people are such tools over it.
The other day I overheard someone talking about some kind of organizer they got for their iPhone.
"Yeah, I just got this app that does this and this..."
He didn't say "I got this program", "organizer", or even "application". He said app. Does he even know what the fuck an "app" is?

I don't mind the term itself, what I mind is the fact most "apps" are nothing but simple web scrapers.

I don't really mind the term itself when applied to iPhone, iPad et al (since that's the term they use) but I do find it obnoxious when it starts being used in other places where it doesn't exactly fit, kind of like when people refer to things with an 'i' prefix for no reason.

Haw, I love the iPhone, the applications, the iPod. I'm not an apple fanatic, but I'm able to think outside the box and see the phone in itself. I'm not agreeing with everything Apple does, but I'm not agreeing with Microsoft neither. App is just an abreviation of applications. It've been used a long time before apple started using it. As for the iName, (iPod, iPad, iPhone), it can't be worse than the Wii

we just need to either continue holding on strong to our intelligence, or, allow ourselves to de-evolve like the rest of the world that loves the murder of language.

Might put that on a t shirt

Honestly I don't care that they call their programs apps. It's just the term that they chose to use for the iPhone and other iThings.
