Manual download?

Anyway, I don't see much difference...I wonder if CSS3 is out now...

Mine said it was going to download the upgrade, but then stopped with an error saying that it wasn't a valid update. I hit the back button and then it downloaded the 1.0.3 installer, and errored again with a blank error message. Installation seems to be fine, though (so far).

At the risk of sounding like a complete moron, what does FireFox do that IE doesn't? I keep hearing it is much better, but I never hear why. And I have not had the opportunity to download it yet and try it out.
Thanks.

For one, it complies to W3C web standards.

Security.

Tabbed browsing. (though IE7 supposedly has this now)

Adblock.

Extensions.

Themes.

It's free, as in speech(tm).

Another perfectly legit reason is because it's not made by Microsoft. I don't like the idea of only using software created by one company. It gives them too much control.

Really, the only place that IE wins out is when you need to download updates for Windows. MS forces you to use their browser for that.

Oh my.

What a horrible thing.

Don't get me wrong. I use FIrefox, but that's a fucking ridiculous reason.

It wasn't back in the day, when IE's numerous crasholas would cause the taskbar to go down with the ship. If any of those hooks still remain, Firefox has a legitimate advantage.
