Default You guys ever hacked FF4 for Wonderswan?

I got the rom if you need it.
The sound for it is horrid since Wonderswan is worse than SNES.
Can someone rip all the remade sprites in the game and switch it with the sprites in the SNES version? The emulaters for SNES are way better, and plus theres the music..
The Wonderswan game is also so buggy...

So, you are saying that you will give me rom and I will spend about a year to do all you asked for?
I am not so sure about that, pal.
Why don´t you hack it yourself?

I can get it myself. You shouldn't be offering it here either, I believe it's against rule #1.

Didn't sound too horrible to me. Which emulator did you use?

The SNES may not have enough colours to do it. I don't know exactly since I'm not a hacker, but there may be some quality loss.

Well the game isn't buggy, your emulator might be. Which one it is? OSwan has awful sound unless it's the newer, unofficial version. I know WSCamp has some bugs.

Edit: I see what you mean. Square really are masters of sound. OSwan is buggier than I remember too, what did they do to double size mode to screw it up so much?

As for FF4, those 'mode 7' graphics the WonderSwan tries to do looks plain weird. Also, the palette looks a little brighter than what the SNES usually uses. Should be interesting should someone choose to take it on.

I would if I knew how.
I think the SNES can easily handle the new graphics because it has FF5 graphics which was for SNES as well.
This just sounds like such an obvious project, I'm just really surprised to see that no one is doing it. I see so many other hacks that replace characters with other characters and so on yet no one has switched the characters and backgrounds with the remake's sprites?

They remade sprites in the WSC version of FF4? I dont believe it and for referance here the good old SNES versions sprite set.
The battle background are changed I know but that's cause WSC res is smaller, they also look worse for the ware. Colour pallets used apear to be slightly differant though.

I don't see the point unless you can prove they used new sprites and not just swaped from SNESs pallets to WSCs.

The part when Cecil falls down the waterfall in the beginning with Tella and Rydia before fighting the Octopus boss.

Hum, lets see changes to Cecil are negligable, his arms are the same colour as his armor, unlike the original which used his face colour, and the spikes on his helmet were moved to the side. Both the ledges and water tiles use better less contrasting palette(tiles may or may not have been redrawn) Rockwalling has been redrawn but seems to be useing extra tiles (even if I try to cut them and install them in the original you get more titles then before). This means it isn't just a simple hack the new tiles into FF4 on the SNES because you can only have the same number of tiles you started with. The original used about 35 title for the same scene(not counting animation) and one 16 colour palete(yes the walling ground and water are all one).
I think colour depth and title number would be out of the question here for the SNES version. Although the walling tiles do look abit better. Some one could try however I think the end resaults won't look that great as the pallets would be screwy, and some object have been changed so you'd have edit the map the fix it.

look at the original
