Default GSF wont play in winamp

So I downloaded the Tales of Phantasia gsf files and also got highly advanced .11. Installed and got like halfway through the first song and it cut out. Since then I haven't been able to get them to work. I reinstalled winamp like 10 times, and tried different versions of HA, including one that had interpolation disabled. Since then I have also formatted and I just tried it again, by redownloaded all the files and installing HA again, only now I get an error message: "Unsupported PCM format 0 hz 0 bits persample, 0 channels" Windows cod 32 File not supported or cannot be translated. I would link the location of the GSF rar i downloaded, but thats probably against the rules. I really wish I couild get this going, any ideas?

GSF sets are fine, in fact, Zophar hosts a bunch of GSF sets (don't they?)....anyway, what was the exact problem? It just quit on you, or did it give you an error?

Make sure all files from the zip are in the same directory, try reinstalling Winamp, strangely, try renaming the plug-in to something slightly different (I had this fix an issue I was having with a plug-in once O_o Still don't understand that one).

There is no error. Only when I use waveOut plugin, do I get format unsupported. With the DirectSound output, if I have a gsf in the playlist, it shows the song name and length, but when I double click the song, it just sits there, it doesnt play or give me an error. It's very bizzare. Is there a way to convert the gsf format to something else? If I try and use waveout plugin, or lame to mp3 through winamp, it just doesnt play the file or extract it. This is the only format out of a huge list that does this, and I've reinstalled winamp like 20 times, and re done plugins one at a time, but even with just gsf plugin, it still doesnt work. So if anyone has a fix, or a way to convert these to another filetype without using winamp, I would greatly appreciate it!

Default Have you tried totally uninstalling/reinstalling Winamp?

I realized this is a pain (if you have a lot of plug-ins), but this is a bizzare problem. I know I've not seen that happen. I don't think there is a way to convert them unless there is another Windows player that I don't know about.

Hmm.....on second thought, I suppose you could go to CaitSith2's website, grab http://gsf.caitsith2.net/ripping.htmlGSF2ROM and playback the song in VisualBoy Advance or some other emulator....VBA should have an option to dump whatever is playing to a WAV. Kind of a pain, but it would certainly work.

*edit*
I don't see it listed...if it isn't in one of those archives, post...I probably have it backed up on one of my various backup DVDs.

yeah, and if I have an archive with broken songs in it, I'd appreciate you letting me know, if that ends up being the case. ;D
