When you're trying to lock in on the absolute most stuff you can get for the littlest amount of money then eBay is the way to go.

HD 5770 on eBay, $106. Cheapest on Newegg, $119. Sure it's only $13.09 difference but it's $13.09 I'll still have.

I've had my fair share of RMA nightmares with Newegg so they're just about neck and neck with eBay in service, IMO.

Plus I don't deal with sellers that have little to no standing in feedback and if they aren't 99.9% or 100% I don't go for it.

I say go with NewEgg too. Pretty much all my system builds and upgrades come from there. And boy did I build a sweet rig. ^.^<3

Q8300 costs 149.99 on Newegg. Got mine new on eBay for $113.

Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R Motherboard is out of stock on Newegg. Available at $71 on eBay.

ZALMAN CNPS9500 AT 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink, $44.99 on Newegg. New on eBay for $28.

All Super Talent products seem to be out of stock or deactivated on Newegg. My 2 sticks of DDR2 800 Super Talent Ram cost me $35.98 altogether on eBay.

I will however probably be getting my new power supply from Newegg and a new case to put everything in. Oh and fans. Lots and lots of fans.

My current system only has 3 fans. Well 6 if you count the one on the heatsink, video card and Power supply. Other 3 are a 80mm blue led on the side, an 120mm blue led one in front of the hard drives and a regular 120mm on the rear.

System stays pretty cool, but the system previous to that I had like 6 fans. I saw a case with 2 huge 250mm fans that looks like it would keep things cool but it's like $79.

This one here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811103033

I've never paid more then $35 for a case.

I've never paid more than $500 for an entire system. I keep considering upgrading my current system (6 year old HP Pavilion a813w - 2.8Ghz Dual Core PIV w/ 1.5GB of RAM) but then I remember that it works perfectly fine and I'd gain absolutely no benefits from upgrading.

My girlfriend and I have discussed the possibility of getting rid of all of our computers when we move in together in May.

I have had no probs with newegg.
I always for anything buy from retail shops like that for new stuff
I buy ebay for only hard to find/rare things.
The only downside with newegg for me is that I live in the same state as newegg I have to pay state taxes. Because this place is a warehouse hub on the east side, this applies to most stores that I order from.

You're from Jersey too?

I'm familiar with taxes on Newegg products because one of their distribution centers is in Edison, NJ.

It's not every product though. There's been times I've ordered several items from them in one shot and some might come from NJ some might come from TN and some come from CA.

You don't strike me as the type that would have any chance at any other sort of job interview anyway.

Thumbs up

Well I finally did the deed and ordered the last 2 parts for my system from NewEgg.

PowerColor AX5770 1GBD5-H Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

hec X-Power Pro 600 600W Continuous @ 40C ATX12V V2.2 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Plus I get a free $10 mouse with the PSU.

Funny though that I paid close for those 2 parts that I did for the other 4. Only $66 less than the other 4 to be exact.

I'll probably just match the RAM I have in my current system with the 2 sticks I'm getting. Same speed and voltage for each set so it should be fine. Then I'll have 4GB all together.

I'll post up specs when I get it all my pieces and test everything.

Oh and here's the specs for my current setup:

Actually this is off just a bit. I disassembled the external HDD. It's a SATAII drive, so I just took it out of it's housing and stuck it inside my case. Faster data transfer that way.
