Wow, OpenBox. Once upon a time I used to use that. It's pretty nice, but I just didn't like having to use pyPanel or xfce4-panel to get access to my tray.

pyPanel and XFCE4's panel had too many dependencies for me. However, the panel I use (LXPanel) is very good: It can skin itself based on the active GTK theme, has several plugins, etc. It also only uses about 3.5MB of RAM and is very, very stable.

It's a part of the LXDE suite.

It's saved me from having to repurchase scratched CD's on more than one occasion.

That's pretty neat. If OpenBox would take on Gtk themes, I'd consider going back to it. As it was I had to hack and recompile it to fix the color of separators in its menus to get them to match my Gtk menus I think something with the functionality of OpenBox but able to inherit Gtk would be great. As it is, it kind of reminds me of Enlightenment menus circa 1999.

I always found it odd that the surfaces of the brick-blocks appeared to be white. Now that I see it like this, however, it looks odder than ever.
