Default Dragon Ball Z Kai

Hum for those who don't know Dragon Ball Z Kai is a new revisionist version of Dragon Ball Z. Anyway NickToon has started airing it(as Cartoon Network went sucky on that area), so as I can see, so far, it contain the old animation remastered, cut, and rearranged for better viewing. Episode 1 seems to be comprise a Episode 1 & 2(at leased I think there was more Gohan filler in Episode 1. It's been along time since I saw both the Japanese and English version). In any case the flash back scene with Goku's Father and Frieza is placed as a leader.

I'm going to assume a huge amount of trimming is going to occur, though. It kind of worries me about episode like Goku and Piccolo learn to drive, as they were some of the best outside of Dragon Ball. However there does appear to some new animation in the Opener/Closer, so maybe there is going to be some extra content, along with the cuts. Still it is something the series needed, it was almost a one time only watcher in it's original state. So even if you haven't seen DBZ before, this would be the version to watch.

I didn't even know they were airing it, till there's nothing on goes and looks and LOL is Episode 1. I can't really say any more as it's the late night replay. I'm sure other people who pay more attention anime releases, nowadays, already new this crap, but hey....

If they cut out some of the extra amounts of filler consisting of Goku and others screaming and powering up, I'd consider watching it. :P That'd make the series flow a lot better.

I thought that was the point of it actually. So far in three episodes Goku has died, how long did it take original? Oh they have drawn extra scenes a; to make the fights more dynamics(particularly in fights that didn't have 50 million episodes devoted to them) b; to add little dialog scenes that have actual purpose(over Ahhhhh... ahhh... ahh.. Kaaaah... meeh... haah... meeh... Haaaaaah.). Although I must say some of the art looks out of place, somethings off about redraw Vegita.

Hmm...you make me very interested in this, more than I was. I've always kind of liked DBZ, but my big complaint (over the manga) was that it had all that extra cruft to pad it out (ie things like Goku powering up for over nine thousand episodes in the Namek arc while Freiza's just there chilling).

Oh it's currently on at 8/7c(and 8:30/7:30c) repeats at 11/10c. Then they run single episodes on a 2/1c(which is the one I've been watching). Which seems to make it better than Disney and Naruto already(not that I'd bother trying to watch that). Although it looks like it's on two hours on Friday/Saturday/Sunday at slightly different times. Might be like a catch up marathon, but I don't I've only been watching the late night run. Especial since I couldn't watch the early run, and 11/10 on Mondays is out.

(Oh it's Monday through Friday on the late night one. Oh and depending on provider NickToon & Nickelodeon way be the same channel, but they are separate here. They don't even have a HD NickToon here yet.)

this is why piracy is the solution. all the DBKai released so far are up on many BT sites at this point.

I'm on my relatives next door wifi connection so torrents are not an option since he would put a password on that router within a day. I'll just wait till someone posts it online on some anime streaming site.
