Default Re: Humanity disgusts me.

Normally I wouldn’t reply to pessimistic rants magnifying the various downfalls of modern culture, but this one caught my interest for some reason; so, here I am.

I'm just sick and tired of what I see. People are only concerned with fucking from the age 21 on. From 30-60 it's working, fucking, and looking forward to retirement. You long from your cubicles to get drunk, and spend the next day vomiting in your toilet. You are shit.

<hr></blockquote>

Ouch, man. Maybe we live in different places (metaphorically). I see people discussing their thoughts and thirsting for knowledge and happiness. I see artists expanding into a whole new medium where the digital world allows us to transfer poetry, artwork and dialogue in split seconds. When I work in the factory over the summers to pay for school, I see hard working men and women bust their asses 50 hour weeks to go home and see their kids. I also see what’s bad in this world, but you can’t be blinded by it.

I thought there was some hope that the gaming community would grow up with me. I thought, with being part of the generation that grew up with the NES, that maybe gaming would penetrate the public eye as a reasonable and acceptable pastime. I was wrong. You fuckers hit your 20s, and it's work, fucking and drinking. The only thing left of the "gaming community" is a bunch of fat ugly losers, and the PSX generation, who is a bunch of spoiled kids. The dream is fucking dead.

<hr></blockquote>

Ouch again. Many people accept gaming as a reasonable pastime. Since when we have to care about the “public eye”? I still play classic Nintendo, what “dream” are you talking about?

I want to pull the ethernet cable out of the back of my computer. There's nothing left for me on the internet. I'm awash in pornography and my favorite old games.

<hr></blockquote>

Pornography is always empty, but you have to remember that your favorite old games represent a time. Times change, and it’s a waste of life to dwell on the past the way you are.

<blockquote><font class="small">In reply to:</font><hr>

I've sucked the marrow from the bone, and there's nothing left except a crumbling dream, a wasteland of kiddies with rich parents and the people who look to get rich off them. You're generation capitalism. You're generation advertisements. You took the information age and turned it into shit.

<hr></blockquote>

Even the greatest cities of the world have some of the greatest slums. There’s still gold on the internet, I assure you… you’ll just have to look elsewhere.

<blockquote><font class="small">In reply to:</font><hr>

You have money. You spend it to get ahead. You've lost any acknowledgement of worth. You can't grasp fun, fun is dead, unless it's at the bottom of a bottle. You can't grasp asthetic beauty, unless you saw it on television and want to pay four payments of $29.99 for it. You don't know what love is.

You fall in love and fuck other people. This is considered normal. The internet is dead. Welcome to the home shopping network. What can we sell you today? WE MUST HAVE MONEY. MONEY IS EVERYTHING. BOW TO YOUR DRUG, YOUR GOD. MONEY IS LOVE, TAKE IT WITH YOU WHEN YOU DIE. PLASTER YOUR NAKED BODY WITH DOLLAR BILLS AND EXPERIENCE BLISS. IT'S ALL THERE.

<hr></blockquote>

Well, good rant. I hope you recover. Just remember you’ll never see the beauty of the world if you rub shit over your eyes.
