When it comes to ROM Hacking, this is nearly 100% correct. People on the boards can help you by answering questions and such, but they won't physically do your work for you. In ROM Hacking (unlike...

Anyone have a save state / SRM file near the end of Mother 2 (J)?

Figured I'd ask on here. There are plenty of save files out there to be found for Earthbound, but I can't find any for the Japanese Mother 2...

Re: FF6: Only 8 palettes?

Well, it looks as though it is true that only those 8 are usable for player characters... I suppose the ones after are used only for NPCs or something, though I don't understand the need for the...

FF6: Only 8 palettes?

Hello again. I needed a custom palette for a character in FF6, so I put it over palette $09, which as far as I could tell, was a near copy of palette $00 anyway.

Anyway, I edit the event data to...

Re: FF6: Adding natural magic to other characters...?

Nope :-)

FF3usME can edit the natural magic tables for TERRA and CELES, and the Blitz and Swdtech tables for SABIN and CYAN, and the starting Lores, but it has no way of swapping/adding/removing...

FF6: Adding natural magic to other characters...?

Hello there. Suppose I wanted to add natural magic (a la TERRA and CELES) to other characters in FF6 (say, STRAGO), what would this entail? I know TERRA and CELES have special code associated with...

Re: FF6: Kamog's equipment after WoB ends...

Actually, Umaro's slot is used for Mog for the three scenarios selection... not sure why... but this would explain why you don't end up getting anything, because Mog's equipment is blank for that...

Re: FF6: Kamog's equipment after WoB ends...

ROFL, not 2 minutes after posting the darn question do I find the answer :-)

An event occurs that removes equipment from all characters, INCLUDING Gogo and Umaro, who shouldn't even be in the...

FF6: Kamog's equipment after WoB ends...

Hello hacksters. Does anyone out there know the cause of the FF6 bug that causes the player to acquire the moogle Kamog's equipment after the floating continent falls? I'm assuming somewhere in the...

Re: FF6 Characters' Palettes on the save/load and party form screens

Crap! That works perfectly... if I hadn't already drew the new graphics over the old ones. I wonder if that's not the way I should have gone, and instead edited the NPC data and event commands that...

FF6 Characters' Palettes on the save/load and party form screens

I posted this over at acmlm's almost a week ago, with no response...

I'm currently dorking around with FF6, swapping characters around and stuff. I've switched Locke and Setzer's graphics, stats,...

Re: Looking for FF5 Job/Ability information...

Yeah, it was my understanding that the Rockman collection was unique in that it was just emulated NES... all other ports, to my knowledge, are actual ports.

Re: Looking for FF5 Job/Ability information...

> I dont understand what has it to do with this.

Well, it's relevant because the PSX version allows dashing at all times, even without the Dash ability, which is what I was looking for. It might...

Re: Sonic Advance 3: Extreem Manseckz

No worries. When I read his post, I took it as a humorous compliment rather than an insult.

On that note, I can't tell if the following emoticon is supposed to say "weird" or "werd". Maybe I...

Re: Kabby 'N The Krew - All-Star Challenge

I noticed this thread is from like a month and a half ago. Who knows whether it's still going, but if it is, I want to be on the Elite nonplayable team, if there are still openings (it's hard to...

Re: Looking for FF5 Job/Ability information...

Well, I asked for the info on Acmlm's board also, and got a quick reply from JLukas:

JLukas:
I agree, dash should always be available. I
loaded up Geiger's debugger and traced it
down, here...

Looking for FF5 Job/Ability information...

Hi guys. I always hated the "Dash" ability in FF5 (and the Sprint Shoes in FF6) - why should the player have to learn this, and then spend an ability slot on it? So, what I'd like to do is make Dash...

Re: Sonic Advance 3: Extreem Manseckz

Yeah, it's me. I'm still a bit disgruntled over losing pretty much all my projects, so I don't know if I want to be a part of the "scene" or whatever. I just figured I had to reply to a thread like...
