The Pig Symbolizes Nothing

Seriously. There is nothing of which the pig is symbolic. It's just a pig.

Well, it symbolizes bacon.

InVerse 09-15-2010 10:30 PM

No, it is bacon. One cannot symbolize one's self.

The 9th Sage 09-16-2010 03:51 AM

Hm...now I'm starting to want to symbolize myself some bacon for breakfast tomorrow.

So delicious!

Fat/dirty people or things?

I knew that the Chinese had to have some pig year or symbol so I looked it up on the wikipedia:

In Chinese culture, the pig is associated with fertility and virility.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pig_%28zodiac%29

Other stuff:

The pig is the archetypal symbol of plenty, healing, and shape shifting.

interesting is the fact that this is suppose to be Celtic, but this is also describes to the Pig character in the Chinese story the monkey king.(or maybe thats dragonball I am thinking about ^_^ can't remember)

I never said that pigs could be symbolic of nothing, I said the pig symbolizes nothing. Meaning a specific pig. A very specific pig.

I beg to differ. See, I've been playing The World Ends With You. The pig symbolizes frustration, it symbolizes that which you want but cannot get, it keeps getting away. Stop running from me! GET BACK HERE BITCH! I'M GOING TO FUCKING KILL YOU SOMEDAY!

Yeah.

Presumably neither. More likely to be the former than the latter. The pig that washed up on the beach, during the storm, while Hand was editing Will's fictionalities.

Why am I thinking this has something to do with Lord of the Flies?

InVerse 09-21-2010 11:38 PM

Nope, but at least you're on the right form of media.

A pig is symbolic of OMG THE PIG RAN INTO THE FIRE.

He's some kind of god damn hero pig.

I thought of that later on too. I wish it had occured to me to put that in there instead of "Babe the Pig".

InVerse 09-22-2010 04:04 PM

I had very much forgotten of the pig that ran into the fire. It is possible that it is the same pig. This is the pig that drowned but perhaps the pig that ran into the fire then ran into the sea to douse the flames.
